Cat Around Town Project

Our mission is to promote a cooperative effort to reduce the free roaming cat population in our communities through adoption, education, and TNVR. We believe that by spaying and neutering stray and colony cats, we are proactively controlling overpopulation at its source. All kittens and any cats that are adoptable are removed from the colonies and adopted into suitable homes. One day, when the supply meets the demand, there will be a home waiting for every kitten and cat in our community.

TNVR: One of our goals is to educate the public on the benefits associated with a successful TNVR program. Our TNVR program offers low cost Spay/Neuter, rabies vaccinations, assistance trapping community cats, and monitoring and caring for colonies we have stabilized and cleared. One method we use is to provide birth control to cats in colonies we are working to stabilize, and also to cats in communities with designated caregivers who will maintain the colony until we can get the population altered.
FOSTER HOMES: We depend on foster homes to help cats in the community, colonies, and shelters get a second chance at finding a home - a chance they may not have received otherwise. Some of the cats in foster homes require extra care and attention. When placed in a loving foster home, each receives the individual attention needed to help lead them to a furever family.
BARN CATS: We have a strong program in which we search for suitable barns and families where cats from colonies and other unsafe situations can be placed. Once placement is found, these cats have enhanced lives with a significantly increased chance of survival. We are actively seeking safer environments
