American Heart Association - Erie

The community impact work of the American Heart
Association focuses on addressing health equity and improving overall
well-being through grassroots efforts, strategic partnerships, and
evidence-based initiatives. By collaborating with local organizations, schools,
health systems, and community leaders, the AHA works to reduce barriers to
health—such as access to nutritious food, reliable blood pressure monitoring,
tobacco cessation support, and community readiness through CPR education and
training—especially in under-resourced communities. Programs are designed to
meet people where they are, ensuring culturally relevant outreach and
sustainable change. Through this work, the Heart Association empowers
individuals and communities to lead longer, healthier lives.
