Welvista

Welvista is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that offers FREE prescription medications to uninsured South Carolinians through their Medication Assistance Pharmacy (MAP). This charitable Mail-order pharmacy serves more than 17,000 patients living with chronic conditions statewide each year. The program is entirely free to the patient as long as they meet eligibility requirements. Welvista has been helping underserved patients with their prescription needs since 1991.

Since 1991, Welvista has worked to bridge a tremendous healthcare gap for underserved South Carolinians while relieving costs of uncompensated care from our healthcare system and taxpayers. In the past five years, Welvista's programs have served more than 138,500 patients.

MEDICATION ASSISTANCE PHARMACY (MAP): MAP is Welvista's full-service, mail-order pharmacy providing free prescriptions to uninsured, low-income South Carolinians living with chronic illness. Welvista partners with pharmaceutical companies for brand-name drug donations and uses charitable contributions to buy generic medications. By mailing prescriptions directly to patients and providing education to improve medication adherence, we remove countless barriers to accessing lifesaving medications.
