School Time Bible Ministries
About this Organization
School Time Bible Ministries began Bible classes for public school students in the Midlands in 1998. We currently have partnerships with 24 churches, teaching 42 classes, reaching 30 different public schools.
Local churches provide the space, volunteers and teachers for all classes. School Time Bible Ministries provides the curriculum, training for teachers and volunteers, logistical support and networking between churches and school districts. The curriculum used in every School Time Bible class is "God's Plan of Redemption", which teaches the Bible as one story from Genesis to Revelation, examining God's plan to redeem mankind throughout history. School Time Bible classes are legal if held off campus in a non-school building.
Students leave school during non-core instructional time to go to a nearby church for the Bible classes. About half of our students are non-churched and are introduced to God's Word and His plan for their lives.
We hear testimonies from students, parents, teachers and principals about the impact the classes make in the lives of students, even helping them relate better to their classmates, do better in school, and have more respect for parents.
