Save the Strays Animal Rescue & Sanctuary

Save the Strays Animal Rescue is a 501c3 nonprofit/public charity that provides veterinary and day-to-day care for abandoned, neglected and unwanted dogs until they are physically and emotionally ready for adoption. We secure permanent homes for adoptable dogs and provide lifelong sanctuary and/or hospice care for dogs that are not or cannot be adopted due to age, health or behavior. We also educate adopters and the public on responsible pet ownership and humane treatment of animals.

In addition to healthy, adoptable dogs, our rescue has a reputation for taking dogs that are older, have suffered injuries or that have chronic medical conditions. These have included blind dogs, deaf dogs, dogs with amputations, congenital deformities, and limited mobility, as well as dogs with heart conditions, diabetes and other disorders. Because we do not euthanize rescued dogs to make room for others, some of these dogs may be with us for a number of years or even for life. Your donations help us pay for the care they need to maintain their quality of life in a loving home environment.
