Sumter Community Foundation

Sumter Community Foundation is an endowment funded by and for the people living in Sumter, SC. Sumter Community Foundation is uniquely positioned to understand the broad range of challenges and opportunities in its community. Sumter Community Foundation is a community fund at Central Carolina Community Foundation.

The Foundation provides grants for a broad range of charitable needs in the community. We are managed by a volunteer board of advisors made up of local community representatives and leaders and is a community fund at Central Carolina Community Foundation (CCCF). CCCF provides investment management and administrative services for the fund.

Capacity Building mini-grants provide funds to Sumter nonprofits to assist with organizational and financial stability, improved governance, and growth - allowing them to carry out their missions more effectively. Our grants will fund activities that will build and maintain organization-level infrastructure and governance.
