Pretty Powerful is a Black-led nonprofit creating opportunities for teen girls and young women to be mentored, supported, exposed to new experiences, and equipped with the confidence and real-world skills they need to become who they are meant to be.

During Midlands Gives, we asked our community to help us bring the Pretty Powerful Mentorship Internship to life.

And we did exactly what we said we would do.

This August, our first cohort officially began its mentorship journey.

Our tgirls and young women have already walked into their first Pretty Powerful session, met the women who will mentor and support them, created digital visions for the women they want to become, set goals for the year ahead, and begun building a community rooted in connection, confidence, and growth.

The photos you see on this page aren't pictures of what we hope to do someday. They're pictures of the work already happening.

And we're just getting started.

THIS AUGUST, WE’RE ASKING OUR COMMUNITY TO GIVE BLACK.

Your donation helps us continue the Mentorship Internship and deepen the experiences we're creating for our girls and young women throughout the program year.

This isn’t mentorship from the sidelines. 

Our girls are building relationships with mentors, gaining career exposure, developing leadership and life skills, participating in workshops, and having real conversations about confidence, identity, relationships, goals, and their futures.

We’re helping them become HER.
