One SC Fund

The One SC Fund is how people come together to help South Carolina respond and recover in times of disaster. When crisis strikes — whether from hurricanes, flooding, or public health emergencies — this fund provides a way to support communities across our state when they need it most.

Established to assist South Carolinians in the aftermath of disaster, the One SC Fund directs resources to nonprofit organizations providing critical relief and long-term recovery support. From immediate needs like food, shelter, and supplies to the long process of rebuilding homes and restoring stability, the fund helps ensure that individuals and families are not facing recovery alone.

What makes the One SC Fund unique is its focus on South Carolina. Contributions are directed to efforts operating in communities across the state, ensuring that support reaches people close to home. Grantmaking is informed by local knowledge and on-the-ground expertise, helping resources flow to the organizations and initiatives best positioned to respond and support recovery.

Thanks to the generosity of donors from across South Carolina and beyond, the One SC Fund has distributed more than $16 million in grants to nonprofits in every county in the state. These investments have helped repair over 3,500 homes and provided over 2.8 million essential goods and services to South Carolinians — tangible support that helps communities recover and rebuild.

Central Carolina Community Foundation activates and stewards the One SC Fund during state-declared disasters — working with trusted nonprofit partners to direct resources where they are needed most. With a commitment to transparency and impact, 99% of all funds donated are granted directly to organizations providing disaster relief and recovery, with the remaining 1% supporting outreach, research, reporting, and the careful stewardship of grants.
