JBC Cares

About this Organization

Since being established in 2016, JBC Cares has moved strategically to deliver a bold and innovative approach to community, economic, educational, and environmental development in Richland County. JBC Cares, Inc. is recognized as a Harvest Hope Food Bank Official Partner Agency, USDA Partner, American Heart Association Partner, and the winner of Food Lion's "The Great Pantry Makeover" in 2018. We are a registered IRS 501 (c)(3) organization.

JBC Cares creates and implements projects that have measurable, positive impacts on the lives of our youth, pre-teens, young adults, adults, and senior citizens, and we adapt these programs to meet needs that arise in the community. One of our most successful programs is our Food Pantry, which provides food to 125 to 250 local families each week via contactless pickup or a free "shopping" experience that reduces the stigma often associated with using these types of resources. Through our partnership with Hopkins Elementary School, we are also able to provide backpacks, meals, and snacks throughout the school year to children in need.
