The Grieving Needs Foundation

The Grieving Needs Foundation's mission is to provide help to those in need while demonstrating love and compassion. GNF meets those needs by providing a no questions asked food pantry, clothing bank, and serving as a resource center to bridge the gap between those in need and the services that are available within their communities.

The Grieving Needs Foundation's community food pantry supports low-income families in Fairfield County, South Carolina, and parts of Richland County, addressing the growing issue of food insecurity. With limited access to affordable groceries, our pantry plays a vital role in meeting these needs. At full capacity, we can serve 87 families each month. To ensure the most-needed items are available, we travel beyond the local area, where Fairfield County currently has only two grocery stores.

In addition to food assistance, our clothing bank provides free clothing to individuals transitioning out of homelessness and families affected by disasters such as house fires or housing crises. We also supply school uniforms for elementary students from low-income families, easing their burden and helping them focus on their education.

The foundation also serves as a resource center for rural communities, connecting families to essential services. This includes grief and bereavement support tailored to underserved populations and minorities who may face barriers to traditional counseling. Our programs offer one-on-one support and materials to help seniors and teens.
