Who We Are

For over 25 years, the Gills Creek Watershed Association has worked to protect the health and water quality of its 47,000-acre basin. In addition to leading large stream restoration and flood mitigation projects, we engage volunteers in water quality monitoring, trash pickups, invasive plant removal, and native plant installations. We are intentional about including community members in our work; when the community is invested, the project is more sustainable.

What makes GCWA unique is the large impact we have despite our small size: we have one full-time employee and an operating budget under $150,000. We leverage every dollar donated into hundreds of hours of volunteer time and project funding through grants - all of which are invested directly into our community. Your support truly makes a difference!

We're Growing!

Since the appointment of Executive Director Bailey Slice Parker in 2023, GCWA has significantly increased its operational capacity and community footprint. The recent addition of a part-time coordinator and a student intern have helped fuel a surge in mission-focused output, including participation in a higher volume of public events, diverse projects, and expanded volunteer opportunities that deepen community engagement. We are excited to build on this momentum. With your support we can scale up our impact and launch even more ambitious initiatives for our community!
