Friends of Sesqui

A nonprofit organization

As a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization, we promote the use of Sesquicentennial State Park and raise funds for special events, educational experiences and park maintenance/enhancements the 1,419-acre space.

Friends of Sesqui was formed in 2011 to aid Sesquicentennial in all park improvements and promotions as a result of South Carolina state legislature requiring all state parks to be self sufficient in their funding.

Friends of Sesqui has added improvements such as: an outdoor education classroom, ADA sidewalk to the historic CCC spillway, a dog park shelter, bike repair station and more. We also host community events including: concerts in the park, recycle day, volunteer days, 5k races and more. We continue to strive to provide park enhancements to improve park amenities for all people.
