At Epworth , we serve children and families across South Carolina through many lifechanging and innovative programs.
Residential Services: Our oldest program cares for SC children ages 12-18 who have experienced trauma from loss, neglect and/or abuse. Our Foster Care program recruits and supports loving foster parents for children needing temporary support and nurturing. Our Independent Living Center supports young adults between the ages of 18 to 23 who have aged out of the foster care system or other difficult situations. Our Family Care Center supports single moms healing from addiction.
Community-Based Services: Our HOMEBUILDERS & Family Resource Connection and Preservation programs help families who are at risk of a child being placed in care. The programs strengthen family stability through parenting education, case management, and problem-solving skill building. Our public Centers for Counseling serve individuals, couples and families. Our Kinship Care program serves grandparents and others who are raising another person's child. Our Early Intervention Center serves preschoolers with developmental delays and disabilities.
"I feel like had I not been taken into care and ended up at Epworth, I would never have made it, never graduated," said Lily, 18.
"Noah has tripled his vocabulary since he started attending the Epworth Early Intervention Center," said Kenika, mom to 3-year-old Noah.
"I cannot stress enough how much anytime I have a question, Epworth staff are right there to answer it. If I need a resource, they will find it. I feel as though they are family," said Epworth foster mom, Jennifer.
