Children's Charities of the Midlands

The mission of Children's Charities of the Midlands is to support programs which enrich the lives of children and their families across the Midlands of South Carolina. We partner with non-profit beneficiaries that empower children in need to achieve their full potential. By fostering partnerships within our community and beyond, we aim to support an environment where every child feels included and inspired to dream big.

CCM is made up of volunteer individuals within the community of Columbia. We participate in a series of events that raise funds to support our mission. Our marquis campaign revolves around the Lake Carolina Polar Plunge. We are also affiliated with the Children's Charities of the Midlands Cornhole Tournament, the Lake Carolina Oyster Roast, Children's Charities of the Midlands Golf Classic, Lake Carolina Wine Tasting, and the Harborside Race Series 5k walk/run Turkey Trot in which all proceeds benefit CCM.

Testimonials

During Covid, CCM was able to forge forward with some virtual and live campaigns which delivered much needed funds to organizations that were unable to hold their fundraisers. We were able to provide a small voice for many children in highlighting their stories to build awareness. That awareness generated generosity during a time when it was greatly needed. In 2021, we distributed $60,000 to 9 beneficiary organizations. By 2023, we distributed $125,000 to 10 beneficiary organizations.
