$0 Goal

The Black Doulas of Columbia Collective nurtures birthing families and centers birth workers. Our mission is to reduce maternal and infant health disparities by providing education, advocacy, and care that honors the unique experiences of Black birthing individuals and their families.

South Carolina ranks among the highest in the nation for maternal health challenges. These gaps in care impact families across our communities, with the greatest burden falling on Black families.

We are a collective of doulas who envision a future where every birthing person in Columbia and beyond receives respectful, high quality care, resulting in thriving families and healthy communities. We aim to transform maternal health outcomes by providing compassionate, culturally affirming, and holistic doula support.

What We Offer

We are currently piloting a program that offers no cost doula services to historically under resourced families insured through Molina Healthcare.

Our goal is to make doula services accessible for all families, and we are expanding this work through a dedicated care fund. This fund supports prenatal visits, in hospital or at home labor support, and postpartum care for families who would not otherwise be able to afford doula services.
