About this Organization
Your gift will allow our non-profit organization to continue providing quality exhibitions and education to the community, while expanding and growing our programming. Join us as we continue to advance the understanding, appreciation and enjoyment of contemporary art, the creative process and art's and artists' role in the community!
701 Center for Contemporary Art (701 CCA) continuously presents museum-quality contemporary art exhibitions. These exhibitions are free to visit and open to the public during regular gallery hours. 701 CCA enhances the awareness of the art of today and new trends within contemporary art; encourages conversations about larger issues as explored through art; and strengthens civic ties through community inspired content.
We also offer a variety of educational and supplemental programs. Through workshops, learners of all ages experience new techniques and skills. Through our Artist-in-Residence program, we offer professional artists the chance to develop, create and exhibit contemporary art for a sustained amount of time, with financial and material support. 701 CCA also coordinates the Columbia Open Studios weekend event each spring.
