Project Empower is an initiative by The B Strong Group designed to equip caregivers and young adult sickle cell patients with the knowledge, tools, and support they need to confidently advocate for themselves and their loved ones.
Project Empower is a series of monthly workshops where expert speakers provide practical, real-life education on topics such as understanding patient lab results, advocating in hospital and school settings, communicating effectively, navigating insurance, managing IEPs and 504 plans, and addressing mental and emotional health.
Through these workshops, caregivers and patients are not only informed but also supported with meaningful tools, resources, and a sense of community—helping them feel empowered, prepared, and strengthened throughout their journey.
