Dolly Day: Give a Book, Spark a Dream
Celebrate Dolly Parton with Kershaw County First Steps on September 25 as we come together to support Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and ensure local children continue receiving the books they love.
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library provides free, high-quality books to enrolled children from birth to age five, delivered directly to their homes each month. Today, nearly 500 qualified children in Kershaw County are enrolled in the program.
This year, our current funding partner is unable to continue its normal level of financial support for the program. To ensure every child currently registered in Kershaw County continues receiving their monthly books throughout our fiscal year, Kershaw County First Steps needs our community’s help to raise more than $16,000.
On September 25, we are celebrating Dolly by investing in something at the heart of her mission: putting books into the hands of children.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps us move closer to fully funding the program for the year. Together, we can ensure that every currently enrolled child in our community continues opening their mailbox to a new book, a new story, and a new opportunity to develop a lifelong love of reading.
