Transitions Homeless Center is a 260 bed facility that provides emergency shelter and on-site programs and services to help those homeless to secure stable income and move into permanent housing. Homelessness is an issue that is prevalent in the Midlands. By supporting Transitions, you will be a part of the solution that will turn someone's life around. Your financial support helps to provide emergency shelter, meals, and supportive services to those that are homeless in the Midlands. Transitions Homeless Center is the largest facility of its kind in the region, serving men and women from 13 counties across South Carolina. Since opening in 2011, Transitions has helped 2,077 individuals secure permanent housing and another 6,931 have progressed into more positive situations.

Transitions also operates a Day Center which is open 7 days a week to provide an alternative to the street during the day and to allow homeless individuals an opportunity to get services and treatment. On average, 90 individuals use the Day Center and its services each day. Day Center visitors have access to a meal, showers, and laundry machines. In the past FY, Transitions served 251,628 meals (over 1M meals served since opening in 2011), 5,177 showers taken and 13,193 laundry loads completed in the Day Center thanks to your support.
