Senior Resources, Inc.

A nonprofit organization

Senior Resources provides coordinated services to promote and empower healthy, independent living through the support of staff and volunteers. Every day, we help fill plates-whether through nutritious meals for homebound seniors, opportunities for social connection, or programs that keep older adults active and engaged. From Meals on Wheels to the Lourie Center, AmeriCorps Seniors, and beyond, we ensure that older adults have the resources they need to thrive.

Filling Plates, Fulfilling Lives

At Senior Resources, we believe every older adult deserves a full plate-filled with support, connection, and opportunities to thrive. Since 1967, we've helped older adults in Columbia and Richland County live independently and vibrantly by offering services that nourish the body, mind, and spirit.

We serve our community through three main areas:

In-Home Services like Meals on Wheels, home care, and senior companion support

Community-Based Services such as wellness centers, transportation, congregate meals, and the Lourie Center

Volunteer Services through the Senior Companion and Foster Grandparent programs

For over 50 years, Senior Resources has provided programs that allow older adults to build their own "plate" of support to stay healthy, independent, and active. Our mission is to help seniors remain in their homes and communities for as long as possible, surrounded by care, compassion, and connection.

At Senior Resources, we don't just fill plates with meals-we fill them with possibilities.

Testimonials

At Senior Resources, every program helps fill the plates-and lives-of older adults with connection, purpose, and joy. A Senior Companion shared, "Being a part of this program has given my life purpose and meaning," while a Foster Grandparent said, "{This program} has enriched my life by seeing the improvement in the children's lives and the love they have for me." A Lunch Bunch participant thanked us for "supporting the overall well-being of senior citizens." A Meals on Wheels volunteer reflected, "A simple meal and a friendly face can brighten someone's day." And at the Lourie Center, one member found healing and strength through art, dance, and friendship.
