Mission of Harmony Independance Academy is training individuals in independent living skills, creating a community where we can live, work, and thrive.

Vision for Harmony encompasses creating a Christ-centered, intergenerational community that supports differently-abled individuals and their families. Harmony Independence Academy (HIA) focuses on empowering adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) through essential training in independent living skills, confidence-building, and fostering interdependence.

The program, located at Columbia International University, provides 4-hour daily training, 4 days a week, aligning with the academic calendar. Its ultimate goal is to prepare individuals for independent living while addressing parents' concerns about their children's future care and community support. Curriculum materials will be freely accessible to families and organizations.
