For over 25 years, we have provided art as a pathway to healing through classes, workshops, and retreats. We host a traveling exhibition of our students' artwork, maintain an engaging social media presence, and offer a private FaceBook group, Mindful Art Practices. With funds raised through Midlands Gives in prior years we have been able to serve many people. In addition to bringing events like the Drepung Losseling monks to our community to create a mandala for peace, we have developed a community and eCourse hub (Creating Brave) for healing, growing, and thriving through mindful art practices. We launched our first eCourse, Mindful Mandalas, to rave reviews. This E-Course extends our outreach geographically enabling us to serve a broader, larger population. We are now able to help not only cancer patients but those who are dealing with the trauma that comes with all of life's overwhelming changes.
Healing Icons offers a unique portfolio of creative modalities to process trauma and stress in ways that pharmaceuticals and talk therapy cannot.
Audacious Creating. Amazing Support. Contagious Healing.
From Our Students:
I haven't always found online learning easy to do or focus in on. Heidi's presentations, the website, and her clear, open, way of teaching are great! Thank you for Mindful Mandalas - it is thoughtful and inspiring.
I am truly enjoying this eCourse. When I create mandalas, everything fades away, and the process is my total focus. My worries and stresses melt away. Mindful Mandalas is wonderful!"
My cancer diagnosis has left me feeling shocked, emotionally, physically and financially drained. Healing IconsĀ® has provided a creative, sacred space for me to begin to understand this arduous journey.
I recommend Healing IconsĀ® to other cancer survivors as it has helped me reflect on my cancer journey, something I did not have the energy to do while I was in treatment. Having examined my feelings and fears, my hopes and dreams, I now stand strong in who I have become. I wish everyone had the opportunity to experience this!

I have utmost respect for Heidi, not only as a gifted professional artist but as a leader in the field of art as healing. Her ability to naturally tackle difficult issues puts her students at ease, allowing them open up within a trusting safe environment. Recognizing the health benefits associated with stress reduction and the important role it plays in healing is the benchmark of Healing Icons. We have been the proud sponsor of several of their programs and are delighted to support the expansion of their work.
