Help Me Help Happy Wheels!

"You have the best volunteer job in the whole hospital...you get to deliver smiles all day!"  This is what I have heard while volunteering for Happy Wheels and it could not be more true! It is truly a privilege to have been a volunteer for Happy Wheels since 2015 at MUSC Children's Hospital. Patients and their families allow us into their world to deliver a little joy during the most difficult and vulnerable times in their lives. As a non-profit organization we rely completely on the generosity of our communities to make this happen EVERY WEEK in 3 Children's hospitals across SC! So many of my friends and family ask...How can I help??? Here is my Call to Action for everyone who reads this...I have the easiest way for you to help us and you can do it RIGHT NOW!! Today is our biggest fundraising day of the year through Midlands Gives! Help me help these awesome kids! One day, each week throughout the year, Happy Wheels volunteers make rounds to each inpatient room with a decorated surgical cart filled with brand new books and toys. Happy Wheels visits approximately 400 children weekly at all 3 children's hospitals in South Carolina. Each child gets to pick out one toy/book of their choice every week for the duration of their admission. They get to keep the gifts and take them home!
