Riley Loves Happy Wheels!

I have had the privilege of working with Happy Wheels for over 3 years, and each week that we push the Happy Wheels cart brings me so much happiness. We get to be the joy cart to children during some of their hardest days. When we tell them that they get to pick a brand new book or toy off of our cart and KEEP IT and take it home with them, their faces light up! It is an absolute honor to spend a few precious moments with the children that we visit, where they get to just be a kid and forget about what brought them to the hospital. 

I am so thankful for the amazing team of volunteers in Greenville that help deliver smiles and comfort to the families we visit. 

One day, each week throughout the year, Happy Wheels volunteers make rounds to each inpatient room with a decorated surgical cart filled with brand new books and toys. Happy Wheels visits approximately 400 children weekly at all 3 children's hospitals in South Carolina. Each child gets to pick out one toy/book of their choice every week for the duration of their admission. They get to keep the gifts and take them home!
