MedNeed of SC is a 19-year-old medical non-profit providing a wide range of medical equipment to residents of South Carolina who are either uninsured, indigent or both. All of our referrals come from medical sources: hospitals, doctors' offices, physical and occupational therapists, rural clinics, free clinics and other licensed personnel. The equipment we provide ranges from walkers to wheelchairs, lift chairs, diabetic supplies to incontinent supplies, bath equipment, bedside commodes, BP monitors, canes, nutritional supplements (Boost, Ensure, PediaSure, etc.), and more. When funding allows we can also provide power scooters, cpap/bipap, specialty mattresses and some bariatric items.
In our first 18 years we have provided equipment to more than 25,000 of our state's neediest residents. All equipment is provided new and delivered directly to the home.
As we have no PT's or RT's on staff we do not provide oxygen. We also do not provide power chairs due to cost restrictions. We no longer accept used equipment donations as we no longer have a storage facility.
