During Midlands Gives, contributions of just $10 or more are amplified through sponsored prize incentives thanks to the Community Foundation's In Good Company Network made up of charitably-minded, local businesses.

AFLAC POWER HOURS | 15 prizes totaling $30,000
$2,000 awarded to one small, one medium, and one large budget nonprofit that has the most unique donors during the following hours:
7:00 AM to 7:59 AM
10:00 AM to 10:59 AM
12:00 PM to 12:59 PM
6:00 PM to 6:59 PM
11:00 PM to 11:59 PM
BLUECROSS BLUESHIELD OF SOUTH CAROLINA BOARD LEADERSHIP PRIZE | 5 prizes totaling $5,000
$1,000 awarded to five nonprofits randomly drawn from the gifts given by board members during the scheduled giving period, April 1 - May 3. Donors must indicate they are a board member by checking the box during the checkout process in order for their gift to qualify for this drawing.
CENTRAL CAROLINA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION'S THRIVING MIDLANDS PRIZE | 7 prizes totaling $7,000
$1,000 awarded to seven nonprofits whose primary physical address is outside Richland and Lexington counties and who have raised at least $100 by the end of May 4th.
CENTRAL CAROLINA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION'S FUNDHOLDER FRENZY PRIZE | 1 prize totaling $1,000
Awarded to a nonprofit randomly drawn from the gifts given by CCCF fundholder through their Donor Advised Funds.
AFRICAN AMERICAN PHILANTHROPY COMMITTEE'S MATCHING CHALLENGE | 10 matching gifts totaling $5000
The African American Philanthropy Committee, established by Central Carolina Community Foundation, will be awarding a total of $5,000 in matching gifts to Black-led and Black-benefiting nonprofits. Ten eligible organizations who raise a minimum of $500 will be randomly drawn to receive a $500 match.
CENTRAL CAROLINA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION'S GIVE BACK BY GIVING BLACK PRIZE | 8 prizes totaling $2,000
Awarded to Black-led & Black-benefiting category nonprofits who will be randomly drawn from the nonprofits mentioned in the comments of the Facebook Live video at 6:30 PM on May 4th.
DOMINION ENERGY AND CENTRAL CAROLINA FOUNDATION'S GIVE BACK BY GIVING BLACK PRIZE | 10 prizes totaling $5,000
In partnership with CCCF, awarded to Black-led & Black-benefiting category nonprofits who will be randomly drawn from the nonprofits mentioned in the comments of the Facebook Live video at 6:30 PM on May 4th.
DOMINION ENERGY LIGHT THE WAY PRIZE | 8 prizes totaling $16,000
$2,000 awarded to a randomly drawn nonprofit whose primary category aligns with Dominion Energy’s four giving focus areas: education, environment, human services, and community vitality (arts & culture/community improvement). Two prizes per focus area will be awarded. Prizes will be drawn live on local television the week before Midlands Gives Day. Times and dates will be announced on social media.
DOMINION ENERGY "LIGHT IT UP" TRIVIA | 3 prizes totaling $2,000
Join us for a special Facebook Live trivia contest! Compete for prizes for your favorite nonprofits by answering questions about the Midlands nonprofit community. Event will take place on Facebook Live at 8 PM on May 4th. Winners of the first two rounds will award a $500 prize to a nonprofit of their choice. The winner of the third round will award the final, grand prize of $1,000 to a nonprofit of their choice.
DOMINION ENERGY CHAMPION PAGE POWERHOUSE PRIZE | 3 prizes totaling $3,000
Champion Pages help power up philanthropy across our community and share the joy of giving across individual’s networks. $1,000 awarded to a small, medium, and large budget nonprofit randomly drawn from the Champion Pages that raise at least $100.
NEPHRON PHARMACEUTICALS ELECTED OFFICIALS CHALLENGE | 12 prizes totaling $3,000
A virtual game of "Scattergories" among elected officials in the Midlands to win $250 for a nonprofit of their choosing. Each participant will take a turn in the hot seat to play. The video will be shown on CCCF's Facebook page at 5:30 PM and 10:30 PM.
NEPHRON PHARMACEUTICALS MATCH MAKER PRIZE | 4 prizes totaling $4,000
$1,000 awarded to one small, medium, and large budget nonprofit randomly drawn from nonprofits who meet or exceed their match by 10:30 PM on May 4th.
SCHMOYER & COMPANY GET UP AND GIVE PRIZE | 1 prize totaling $2,000
Awarded to the organization with the highest number of unique donors in the first four hours of the day, between 6 AM - 10 AM.
SOUTH STATE BANK HASHTAG FRENZY | 4 prizes totaling $2,000
Throughout Midlands Gives Day, we will randomly select social media posts on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter that include #MidlandsGives and/or #SupportSupporters and award a $500 prize to the organization the post references.
SOUTHEASTERN FREIGHT LINES NEW DONOR PRIZES | 1 prize totaling $2,000
Awarded to the organization that reaches beyond their donor base and has the highest number of new donors.
TRUIST FIRST GIFT PRIZE | 4 prizes totaling $4,000
$1,000 awarded to the nonprofit that receives the first gift of the day in the following categories: small, medium, large, and new.
Size Categories
Size categories are determined by the operating budget submitted by the organization during registration. The breakdown is calculated to ensure there is a fair number of nonprofits in each size category.
Small: $50,000 or less
Medium: $50,001 to $450,000
Large: $450,001 or higher
Prize Guidelines
- Prizes are awarded to the nonprofit, not the donor.
- Organizations may not win more than one prize. Exceptions: BCBSSC Board Leadership Prize, CCCF Give Back by Giving Black Prize, Nephron Elected Officials Challenge, South State Bank Hashtag Frenzy.
- Organizations must have received at least 10 gifts before they are eligible to win a prize. Exceptions: BCBSSC Board Leadership Prize, CCCF Give Back by Giving Black Prize, Nephron Elected Officials Challenge, South State Bank Hashtag Frenzy, Truist First Gift Prize.
- Prize money does not count toward matches.
- Gifts made during the early giving period do not count toward prizes. Exceptions: BlueCross BlueShield of SC Board Leadership Prize, Nephron Match Maker, Southeastern Freight Line New Donor Prize.
Regional Matches
Community Funds at Central Carolina Community Foundation offer additional matching funds to benefit organizations in the specific geographic regions they serve. Eligibility of the regional matches are based on the physical address submitted by the nonprofit organization during the registration process. Learn more about Community Funds here.
Additional Incentives
Generous donors throughout the Midlands are offering additional incentives to help inspire giving on Midlands Gives Day! These incentives funds are awarded independently between the donor and nonprofit but are reported in the final total of Midlands Gives Day.
Many participating nonprofits have secured matching funds from generous donors and businesses. All reported Midlands Gives matches are dollar for dollar, allowing your gifts to be doubled! Check your favorite nonprofit's profile to see if they have secured matching funds.
