Jaysen Carr - Be a Good Human Foundation

Jaysen Carr, known as “#6,” was the kind of kid who made everyone feel seen, valued, and loved. At just 12 years old, as a rising 8th grader at Hand Middle School, he had already left an incredible mark on his friends, teammates, and community.

A gifted athlete in baseball, basketball, and football, Jaysen stood out not just for his talent, but for his heart. He encouraged his teammates, celebrated their successes as his own, and brought energy and joy to every field and court. He was a natural leader—kind, humble, and full of life.

Off the field, Jaysen was an honor student, a flute player in the Honor Band, and a dedicated member of Unified Champions, where he showed his passion for inclusion and lifting others up. His faith guided him, and he lived it daily through compassion, generosity, and love for others.

In July 2025, after what seemed like a routine headache, Jaysen became critically ill. Despite a courageous fight surrounded by his loving family and medical team, he passed away on July 18. His loss is deeply felt by all who knew him.

Jaysen’s legacy is one of joy, kindness, and connection. He brought people together and made the world better simply by being in it.

This fundraiser honors his life through the Jaysen Carr – Be A Good Human Scholarship at Dreher High School, helping future students carry forward his spirit by leading with kindness, character, and heart.
