As a Community Health Worker with SC Thrive, I get to meet people exactly where they are — in real moments, face‑to‑face, listening to what they’re going through and helping them take steps toward healthier, more stable lives. My background in healthcare has shown me just how much someone’s well‑being can shift when they finally get connected to the right support, and that’s what fuels me every day.

Much of my work is hands‑on: coaching clients through healthier habits, helping them apply for assistance, connecting them to medical homes, and making sure they have access to the care and resources they deserve. When someone tells me they can finally see a doctor, afford their medication, or breathe a little easier because they’re no longer navigating everything alone — those are the moments that stay with me.

What I love most about SC Thrive is that we don’t just hand people information and send them on their way. We walk alongside them. We listen. We show up with compassion, patience, and the belief that everyone deserves a chance to live a healthier, more supported life. That people‑first approach is why this work means so much to me and why I’m proud to be part of it.
