Our sweet Asher Boo was diagnosed with Stage III Spindle Cell Rhabdomyosarcoma in October 2024, when he was just three years old. He immediately began an intense 42‑week treatment plan that included combination chemotherapy, six weeks of Proton Radiation Therapy, weekly outpatient clinic visits, and countless inpatient stays at Prisma Health Children’s Hospital- Midlands.
During those long days in the hospital, small moments of joy made an enormous difference. Happy Wheels—known to Asher as “The Toy Truck”—visited often, bringing smiles, excitement, and much‑needed light during some of our hardest days. The volunteers behind Happy Wheels are a true blessing, providing joy and hope to children who deserve it more than anyone.
Our family is forever grateful for the love and kindness Happy Wheels shared with us. By supporting this fundraiser and helping raise awareness for Happy Wheels’ mission, you are helping children like Asher experience joy, comfort, and compassion during some of their most difficult moments.
One day, each week throughout the year, Happy Wheels volunteers make rounds to each inpatient room with a decorated surgical cart filled with brand new books and toys. Happy Wheels visits approximately 400 children weekly at all 3 children's hospitals in South Carolina. Each child gets to pick out one toy/book of their choice every week for the duration of their admission. They get to keep the gifts and take them home!
