Keeping Midlands Kids Active Thru Street Hockey

Playmaker Sports is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making hockey and active play accessible to every kid in our community. Based in West Columbia, we partner with local schools and community organizations to deliver learn-to-play street hockey, physical education programs, and community events, with a focus on reaching Title I schools and families who may not otherwise have access to the sport.

We are building our permanent home, The Old Barn Hockey Yard, a community-focused facility designed to bring kids together through sport. The space will support youth leagues, camps, training, and open play, while also serving as a safe place for kids to learn, grow, and connect.

Our mission is simple: remove barriers, build community, and use hockey as a vehicle to teach life skills that last well beyond the rink.
