Camp Discovery

Camp Discovery connects young people to the natural world through meaningful, hands-on learning experiences that deepen understanding of science, conservation, and the environment—while fostering the joy and benefits of learning outdoors.

Our mission is to engage, inspire, and educate through discovery in science and nature. Across 116 acres of protected forest, meadows, creeks, and wetlands, our land itself becomes the classroom. Students explore, ask questions, and learn by doing, building curiosity, science knowledge, and lasting connections to the natural world.

We serve students from pre-K through 7th grade through school field study programs aligned with South Carolina State Science Standards. In addition, we support homeschool families through our Homeschool Explorers program and offer a nature-based summer day camp.

Access is at the heart of our work. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn and grow outdoors. Donations to Camp Discovery help fund our programs, provide scholarships where needed and support the ongoing care of our land and facilities—ensuring future generations can continue to learn here.
