Orangeburg Child Evangelism Fellowship of SC, Inc.

To evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, disciple them in the Word of God, and establish them in local Bible-believing churches for Christian living.

In our 5 county ministry area (Orangeburg, Allendale, Bamberg, Barnwell, and Calhoun counties), there are approximately 19,000 children under the age of 14. Statistics show that less than 20% of these children have the opportunity to attend church regularly. Research by the Barna Group also shows that 85% of children who receive Christ do so before the age of 14. During the school year, CEF has the tremendous opportunity to take the Gospel to children weekly in local public elementary schools through an afterschool program called Good News Club. During the summer, we offer a similar program called 5-Day Club to children in daycares, Boys & Girls Clubs, and Vacation Bible Schools. All programs are taught by CEF trained volunteers and offered to the children free of charge.

This year, over 250 children are participating weekly in Good News Clubs across our area, either in person or virtually! We have seen children come to Good News Club each week EAGER to learn the Word of God and have come to know Jesus! Our students learn their memory verses and learn to spend time with God each week. They love to sing our club songs and show what they are learning about Jesus through our review games. We are excited to reach more children this summer through 5 Day Clubs!
